Yoh has an   immediate, 3 month contrac opportunity, as a LOA & Absence Coordinator within the non profit/humanitarian industry   to jour client, remote- CST or EST only, to report from their office in North Carolina.

  • Max Hourly Rate $22/hr.
  • 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday
  • 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

You will oversee the leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, other federal, state, or local-mandated leave, and company leave. Provide operational oversight of third-party leave vendor. Administer accommodations programs for assigned area. Serve as a resource and SME on leave management consistent with local, state, and federal regulations. Utilize efficient and effective case management, preferably in a Shared Services environment.. 

What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain deep regulatory knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave laws.
  • Administer ADA process in compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Oversee leave program as administered by third-party vendor; partner with Benefits, HR Ops, Payroll, Risk, and Safety.
  • Collaborate with HR, vendor, and legal counsel to implement new policies and regulations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance.
  • Review data and metrics with vendor; identify patterns and report findings.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and recommend process improvements.
  • Serve as liaison between vendor, legal, and HR for escalations.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of leave programs and policies.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers on leave and accommodations.
  • Serve as SME on business and HR projects as needed.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills; sound judgment.
  • Ability to identify, resolve, and escalate issues.
  • Ability to work on a remote team.
  • Possible travel for meetings and conferences.
