Lead Diagnostic & Development Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced auto technician to play a critical role in our self-driving car initiative. As the Lead Diagnostic & Development Technician, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of our prototype test hardware, leading a team of technicians to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Scope:
• Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and feedback to foster professional growth and development.
• Technical Expertise:
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to our prototype test hardware, leveraging your deep understanding of drivetrains and automotive systems.
• Maintenance and Repair:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of our prototype test equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the team.
• Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities, adhering to established standards and procedures.
• Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, software development, and project management, to achieve project goals.
• Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
Required:
• Proven experience as an auto technician in the automotive, robotics, aerospace, or related field.
• Strong understanding of automotive drivetrains and related systems.
• Exp. working in a shop environment, including inventory management and tool usage.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics and repair manuals.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the quarter to support cross-functional projects.
Pluses:
• Experience with autonomous vehicle technology.
• Expertise in specialty tooling, particularly in the context of vehicle testing.
• Knowledge of sensor calibration and testing procedures.
• Strong background in structured testing methodologies.
Estimated Min Rate: $25.00
Estimated Max Rate: $45.00
