Lead Business System Analyst | Private Credit | Allvue Platform

Category :

Information Technology

Employment type :

Direct Hire

Reference :

BH-401700

T The Role
Serve as the primary technology partner to the Private Credit business, advancing the platforms, data, integrations and workflows supporting front-office and investment-accounting capabilities, with a primary focus on Allvue.
This is a hands-on role. You will lead discovery with business and technology stakeholders, configure investment applications, analyze data using SQL, troubleshoot complex issues and work directly with developers and vendors on solutions. You will own workstreams from concept through implementation and stabilization, mentor analysts, establish delivery standards and help shape the multi-year Private Credit technology roadmap. You will collaborate with colleagues across the US and UK.
What You Will Do
Business Partnership and Solution Design
  • Act as the primary technology partner for Private Credit stakeholders and the business product manager.
  • Lead discovery through workshops, interviews and data analysis; translate business needs into requirements, process flows, data mappings, functional designs and user stories.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify requirement and control gaps, evaluate solution options and drive clear business and technology decisions.
  • Design end-to-end Private Credit workflows spanning deal and facility setup, trade execution, funding, interest and fee accruals, rate resets, paydowns, amendments, valuations, restructurings and reporting.
  • Translate Private Credit operating requirements into scalable platform configurations, integrations and data solutions.
Systems, Data and Delivery
  • Configure Allvue workflows, reference data, business rules and application behavior.
  • Use advanced SQL for data profiling, reconciliation, impact analysis, data lineage and root-cause investigation.
  • Trace data across front-office platforms, Security Master, IBOR, investment accounting and enterprise data platforms to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Understand and map relationships among sponsors, borrowers/issuers, deals, facilities/assets, trades, portfolios, positions/holdings and accounting records.
  • Validate REST APIs, JSON payloads, batch/file interfaces and data pipelines; define reconciliations, exception handling and data-quality controls.
  • Partner with engineering teams on integration design, implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Lead system, integration and user-acceptance testing with particular focus on business outcomes, accounting impact, financial calculations and data integrity.
  • Support implementation through production stabilization and ensure sustainable operational handoff.
That entity-level modeling matters in your environment. In Loan Tape process, CFO was discussed in terms of company roles such as sponsor, borrower and issuer, followed by asset creation, funding/trade activity and downstream investment-accounting integration.
Credit Data, Loan Tapes and Reporting
I would give this its own section because it is a meaningful capability rather than burying it under qualifications.
  • Design, configure and maintain Private Credit loan tapes, portfolio extracts and credit reporting datasets for operational, investor, lender and other downstream requirements.
  • Define source-to-target mappings and calculations covering borrower/issuer, facility type, commitment, funded and unfunded amounts, outstanding principal, benchmark/reference rate, spread, floor, maturity, PIK/cash-pay terms, seniority, lien, financial metrics and portfolio/holding information.
  • Build configurable templates capable of supporting different reporting requirements while maintaining consistent definitions, lineage and controls.
  • Reconcile loan-tape outputs to Allvue, investment accounting and other systems of record; investigate and resolve breaks.
  • Understand how term sheets and executed credit documentation translate into structured system attributes, transaction terms and downstream reporting.
  • Develop and maintain tear sheets or credit snapshots used for portfolio monitoring and investment review.
This separation is worthwhile because your Private_Credit_Interview_Scorecard already distinguishes a loan tape from a tear sheet: the loan tape is a structured schedule of facilities and loan attributes, while the tear sheet is a concise borrower/deal snapshot used by portfolio managers and analysts.
Platform, Vendor and Team Leadership
  • Partner with Allvue engineering, product and support teams to troubleshoot defects and influence product enhancements.
  • Evaluate trade-offs among native configuration, custom development, integration, data solutions including Snowflake, and business-process change.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level analysts and establish standards for requirements, solution design, testing, documentation and production readiness.
  • Contribute to the Private Credit technology roadmap with an emphasis on platform simplification, automation, reduced manual processing and stronger data quality and controls.
What You Bring
Private Credit Domain
  • Strong understanding of the Private Credit lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, closing and funding, servicing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, amendments, restructurings and exits.
  • Knowledge of instruments including unitranche, first- and second-lien direct lending, syndicated loans, term loans, delayed-draw term loans, revolving facilities, mezzanine and PIK/PIK-toggle debt.
  • Strong understanding of loan economics, including floating-rate structures, benchmarks/reference rates, spreads, floors, rate resets, OID, upfront and commitment fees, amendment fees, accruals, paydowns and funded/unfunded commitments.
  • Understanding of facility type, lien position and seniority, and how these characteristics affect transaction processing, accounting and reporting.
  • Understanding of how Security Master, IBOR and investment accounting support transaction processing, positions, controls and downstream data consumption.
  • Experience translating credit agreements, term sheets and other deal documentation into structured application and reporting requirements.
Analysis and Technical
  • Proven experience leading complex requirements analysis and solution design across business, product, data and engineering stakeholders.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying, reconciliation, profiling and root-cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience configuring investment platforms; Allvue Credit Front Office and/or Investment Accounting strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, file-based interfaces, data mappings and integration troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing data-quality controls, reconciliations and exception-management processes.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including system testing, UAT, implementation and post-production validation.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, product technology, solution delivery or a similar role within financial services, with meaningful hands-on SQL and application configuration experience.
  • 3+ years working with private markets, leveraged finance or alternative investments, preferably Private Credit/direct lending.
Nice to Have
  • Hands-on experience with Allvue Credit Front Office and Allvue Investment Accounting.
  • Experience with Private Equity, fund-of-funds or broader alternative-investment platforms.
  • Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms and enterprise reporting/data-consumption patterns.
  • Experience with Security Master and IBOR implementations.
  • Experience integrating front-office investment platforms with accounting, enterprise data and downstream reporting systems.
