Land Survey Technician

Survey Technician – Fully Remote
Full-Time | Direct Hire | Civil Engineering Industry
Pay: $30–$38/hr (depending on experience)
Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann company is seeking a Survey Technician to support survey operations for our Civil Engineering client.
This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with an immediate need to fill. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while working closely with a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create deed and reference maps to accurately represent survey data.
• Prepare and configure data to support efficient field operations.
• Analyze and convert post-survey data for project completion.
• Perform construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and sketches.
• Produce grade sheets and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Conduct topographic analysis and draft Metes & Bounds descriptions.
• Develop FEMA Elevation Certificates and Subdivision/Lot Consolidation Plans.
• Mentor CAD Drafters and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
• Use field crew data collector files, sketches, and reference maps to develop mapping solutions.
• Maintain high standards for plan presentation and survey traverse adjustments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant surveying experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Solid mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to produce clean, accurate, and professional deliverables.
• Deep understanding of field survey operations and the construction/engineering industry.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.

Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $38.00
