Lab Technician - Research & Development

Lab Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in  Wilmington, DE.

The Big Picture – Top Skills Should You Possess:

• Experience with sample preparation and experience with a variety of lab equipment in a chemical laboratory setting
• Paying $25 - $36 per hour; depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparation of samples, reagents and standards for elemental analysis (ICP/ICPMS) and separation MS (GPC/GC/LC/IC), following a standard procedure (wet chemistry, microwave digestion)
• Data acquisition and assessing basic data quality
• Perform routine instrument (ICP/GPC/GC/LC in particular) operation and maintenance
• Dispose of lab waste and other lab maintenance following a set protocol
• Cleaning and restocking lab areas as needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• S. in chemistry, materials science, physics, or engineering or demonstration of equivalent knowledge acquired in on-the-job training
• Experience with sample preparation and experience with a variety of lab equipment in a chemical laboratory setting
