Lab Technician (part time)

Location:  Hillsboro, OR
Pay Rate:  $25.00/hour
Schedule:  Part-Time (20 hours/week)

• 3 days per week
• Shifts: 8 hours, 6 hours, 6 hours

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented  Lab Technician  to provide part-time hardware support in a laser lab environment, assisting an optical engineering team in Hillsboro, OR. This role involves hands-on work with complex systems and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge R&D and hardware qualification efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in hardware integration, calibration, and qualification.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hardware test stands.
• Qualify module performance both on-tool and off-tool.
• Support R&D development activities (C&F).
• Coordinate with facilities, shipping/receiving, and product safety teams.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with optomechanical systems, electrical controls, interlocks, safety systems, cooling/gas systems, and system software.
• Proficiency in using electrical/electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment or similarly complex systems.
• Commitment to lab safety and standard operating procedures.

 

Estimated Min Rate: $18.20
Estimated Max Rate: $26.00
