Lab Tech (ONSITE)

Lab Tech (ONSITE) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing’s client working in Hershey, PA.

• Pay Rate: $20-23/hr
• ONSITE
• Hours: 8am-4:30pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support projects across Salty Foods R&D team and perform routine laboratory tests
• Perform inspection of incoming ingredients for label accuracy and temperature sensitivity
• Monitor and sample in process foods for pH, heavy metals, allergens, and temperature
• Perform sanitation duties through environmental swabbing and titrations
• Computer data entry of test results for proper FDA and USDA documentation
• Candidates will advance into taking on Document Control, Auditing, and Process Improvement duties
• Support set-up/clean-up of equipment needed for trials in the lab and pilot plant
• Support trials such as scaling ingredients and data collection
• Support lab clean-out and upkeep of lab

Required:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• No food allergies, ability to lift 50 pound cases, ability to stand/walk for a long period of time.
• Excellent opportunity for recent graduates B.S. in Biology, Food Science, or related scientific field
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Willing to work overtime as needed
