Lab Quality Specialist - Hazelwood, MO - Contract - $33/hr

Quality Compliance Specialist (6-Month Contract)
6 Months Contract
$33.00/hour

Position Summary

As a Quality Compliance Specialist, you will ensure regulatory compliance and uphold quality standards across our international distribution centers. You will analyze time and temperature data for shipments within the US and LATAM networks, manage quality events, and coordinate product release processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate shipments using TTOR and MKT principles.
• Initiate quality events and coordinate with manufacturing sites for dispositions and distribution centers for product release.
• Execute quality projects using engineering principles and business standards.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data in line with quality directives.
• Communicate material quality status to internal teams and external suppliers.
• Develop and implement SOPs to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, OSHA, etc.
• Recommend improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
• Lead QMS compliance activities including CAPA, change control, supplier quality, audits, and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational and quality goals.
• Participate in project updates and communicate key developments.
• Develop and review internal and external procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
• 0–4 years of experience in a scientific or technical role (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry preferred).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with bioMérieux reagents and instruments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA compliance standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and work effectively in a team environment.
• Competence in quality engineering tools and methodologies.
