This role supports daily hardware lab operations by maintaining devices, hosts, test fixtures, lab infrastructure, and testing environments. The technician will troubleshoot failures, manage deployments and inventory, and coordinate with engineering, networking, and facilities teams.
Scope:
• Monitor device and host status, troubleshoot failures, and recover systems as needed.
• Evaluate, label, OEM unlock, flash, configure, and deploy devices and test fixtures.
• Modify devices for power testing, battery replacements, and other engineering needs.
• Image, upgrade, repair, replace, and deploy hosts used for testing.
• Maintain accurate inventory of devices, hosts, fixtures, and lab equipment.
• Decommission obsolete hardware and prepare benches and racks for new deployments.
• Prepare test environments, configurations, and device reports for test teams.
• Monitor lab infrastructure, temperature controls, and facility systems, coordinate outages, and repairs.
• Maintain documentation, bug reports, status updates, work logs, and automated processes.
• Support test infrastructure issues while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized lab in accordance with 5S principles.
Required:
• Experience supporting hardware labs, test environments, device farms, or similar infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience configuring, imaging, flashing, deploying, and troubleshooting hardware and hosts.
• Experience with inventory, ticketing, bug-tracking, or documentation systems.
• Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, hardware maintenance, and lab operations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow established procedures and service-level requirements.
Estimated Min Rate: $10.00
Estimated Max Rate: $15.00+/hr. Depends on work experience
