Jr Data Center Engineer- Montreal

Data Center Technician  - 
We are currently expanding our production operations team and are looking for individuals that have the right skill sets. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal IT support teams and resources in other departments within the business. This is a position with significant operational responsibilities and will require a detail-oriented individual able to follow complex technical instructions.

Basic Qualifications:
 3-5  Years working in an enterprise Data center
Manage Work and Priorities through ticketing system and coordinate with Data Center Manager
Perform hardware troubleshooting and component replacement

Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
Generate standard operation procedure
Exhibits good communications and writing skills
Must be capable of lifting 75lb
Good understanding of storage devices
Experience in cycle count and spares management
100% hands-on with datacenter infrastructure provisioning and server/network equipment deployments
Manage RMA processes with various vendors
Hardware Concepts:

• RAID
• SAN
• X86 Architecture
• SCSI, SAS, SATA
• Network Protocols (OSI Model)
• Copper/Fiber Optics/DS3 – Testing and installation standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical writing experience
•  Manage parts inventory and stock levels is a plus
• Must be able to document and track equipment during relocation efforts
• Self-starter, highly motivated individual who can adhere to strict processes
• Ability to travel 

Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $37.00
