Our Fortune 500 client is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team at a chemical manufacturing facility in the Clear Lake area. This role is ideal for a motivated, customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to continuously learn and expand their technical expertise. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring a seamless technology experience across the site.
- Onsite in Clear Lake, TX
- 12 month contract
- $25-30/hr on W2
*Candidates must be able to work directly on W2 without sponsorship. No C2C!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support and fulfill service requests through phone, email, walk-up support, and self-service portals while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Provision, configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, software, and peripheral equipment, in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Escalate incidents and complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams following defined operational processes.
- Monitor and manage open support tickets to ensure accurate prioritization, timely resolution, and compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, installation procedures, best practices, and knowledge base articles.
- Research, evaluate, and assist with the implementation of new technologies and solutions that support business and operational objectives.
- Track, manage, and maintain IT assets, including both physical hardware and logical assets, in accordance with IT asset management policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for learning new technologies and expanding technical knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
