IT Asset Management Director (Contract-to-Hire)

Director of IT Asset Management (ITAM)
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of IT Asset Management (ITAM) to lead the full lifecycle of IT assets—hardware, software, and cloud subscriptions. This role ensures compliance, optimizes asset utilization, and supports cost-effective IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead ITAM strategy aligned with business goals.
• Establish and enforce asset lifecycle policies and procedures.
• Oversee acquisition, deployment, tracking, and disposal of IT assets.
• Ensure accurate inventory and compliance using tools like ServiceNow HAMPro/SAMPro and CMDB.
• Manage vendor relationships and a small internal ITAM team.
• Lead internal/external audits and ensure software license compliance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to align asset practices and budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through asset optimization and vendor negotiations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in IT, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years in ITAM or IT Operations, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera).
• Preferred certifications: ITIL, CITAM, CSAM, CHAMP.

Success Metrics:

• Inventory accuracy, license compliance, cost savings, audit readiness, and team performance.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days onsite per week.
• Occasional travel may be required. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.

Estimated Min Rate: $70.00
Estimated Max Rate: $100.00
