Integrated Systems Test Engineer
The Integrated Systems Test Engineer is responsible for directly contributing to the integration, bring-up, troubleshooting, debug, and testing of next-generation autonomous vehicles. This is a very hands-on role, reporting to the System Integration Test Lead, and working closely with other integration test engineers and the Technical Operations team in our facilities in the California Bay Area. It requires cross-functional engineering and problem-solving skills, system focus, and a get-things-done mindset.

Scope:
• Support bring up and testing of self-driving systems for several new builds. Debug and close the loop to development teams for new and novel issues encountered in operating advanced self-driving system.
• Operate, maintain, update, and upgrade the Hardware-In-Loop Test Infrastructure.
• Help to build, design, and use test fixtures to be utilized in a lab, including, but not limited to, wiring, harnessing, installing data acquisition equipment, and other monitoring devices.
• Execute in-vehicle, Hardware-in-Loop, and Test Bench tests following a list of Test Plans. These tests require the ability to follow safety policies to operate the vehicle and, in some cases, drive it in a Closed Course.
• Analyze the data from the test results, which can include manipulation and representation of vehicle logs, network communication logs, or other data acquisition sources.
• Support debugging and troubleshooting activities for events found on the vehicle fleets. This includes analyze logged data from vehicles, discuss results, and coordinate their resolution.


Required:
• Work directly with deployed systems (HW and SW), ideally in fast-paced tech environments.
• Have a very wide breadth of knowledge in the EE/CE/CS/Mech realm and can spin up on a new topic very quickly.
• Very strong hands-on experience assembling, working with, and debugging complex hardware and software systems, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies.
• Can interact with both technical and nontechnical teams to solve technical problems.
• Experience with troubleshooting events found on vehicle fleets – Analyze logged data from vehicle.

Pluses:
• Ability to define, implement, and run processes that connect engineering and technician teams across disciplines to meet a common goal bringing up and deploying systems.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and to create Test Plans to verify them.
• Some coding experience, preferably Python, for development of automated or semi-automated testing.

 

Estimated Min Rate: $45.00
Estimated Max Rate: $55.00
