What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our engineering team, you will develop and deliver comprehensive instrumentation and control system designs, including instrument datasheets, wiring diagrams, and control logic. You will manage procurement, review vendor documentation, and oversee installation and commissioning processes. You’ll also participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), develop process control narratives, and ensure compliance with all safety and engineering standards. Your expertise will help optimize process measurements, select appropriate I&C applications, and develop detailed P&IDs for our projects.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work methodically and solve problems analytically
- Valid transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or ability to obtain one
- Master’s degree in related engineering disciplines
- Engineers in Training (EIT) certification
- Experience with DCS, PLC systems, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
- Familiarity with process measurement devices such as flow, pressure, temperature sensors, and control valves
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced degrees or specific certification such as EIT are advantageous
- Consulting experience in the food and beverage industry or similar manufacturing sectors
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% for project needs within the US-MO-Kansas City area
- Adherence to safety policies and standards throughout all project phases
