immediate, 6 month contract
opportunity, as an HR Shared Services- PST, MST, CST Only
within a non profit, humanitarian industry
to jour client, Remote, in PST, MST, CST time zone only.
- Max Hourly Rate $24/hr.
- 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, Day shift
- Labor Relations/Union knowledge highly preferred
- Experience with Workday and/or Service Now preferred
What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver high-touch support by resolving HR inquiries across areas such as benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee relations using multiple systems and tools.
- Manage escalated and urgent requests with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring adherence to established workflows and service level agreements.
- Perform accurate payroll-related calculations and provide clear explanations of paycheck details to employees.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, process employment verifications, and manage Workers’ Compensation claims using legacy systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA, COBRA, and disability insurance, through meticulous record keeping and reporting.
- Provide technical support for HR systems, including user access, password resets, and data entry for employee forms and templates.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, maintain SOPs and knowledge articles, and contribute to team training and documentation efforts.
- Holds a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
- Brings at least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in HR, payroll, or shared services; familiarity with Workday and labor relations is a plus.
- Demonstrates exceptional discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive data and high-level escalations.
- Possesses strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Technically proficient in HR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM platforms.
- Thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments, including virtual and in-person settings.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of HR/payroll laws and practices; certifications like FPC, CPP, or PHR are a bonus.
