GD&T QC Inspector

Job Title:  QC Inspector – 2nd Shift
Location:  Gainesville, Florida
Pay Rate:  $20/hour
Schedule:  Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM (with possible Friday work)

We have an opportunity for a QC Inspector. This is a 6 month contract position with a good possibility of being hired directly. The customer is a world class manufacturer of life-changing Medical Devices.

Purpose & Summary The QC Inspector ensures that all products meet company specifications prior to final acceptance. This includes reviewing and completing applicable documentation in compliance with FDA and ISO standards as outlined in the Quality Management System.

Essential Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Perform and document inspection requirements for incoming and finished products—including implants, instrumentation, raw materials, and trays—according to approved SOPs.
• Identify and report non-conformances (NC) to the QC Supervisor/Manager.
• Create NC records, segregate non-conforming products, and complete NC system tasks as assigned.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with Sampling Plans.
• Maintain ERP system status and product location to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
• Perform stock audits as assigned.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and Special Inspections (SI) per established procedures.
• Understand and apply the Quality System and relevant federal and international standards.

Required Qualifications Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a Quality department within a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to learn and use basic quality measurement tools (e.g., profile overlays, calipers, hand gauges).
• Basic computer proficiency.
