Full Stack Engineer (Hybrid, Multiple locations: Dallas TX, Providence, RI, Raleigh, NC)
Required Skills
- Experience & education
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Advanced degree preferred (Computer Science)
- Backend / API
- Strong experience with Java Spring Boot and Spring Cloud ( ~70% of the role)
- REST API development
- Frontend
- Experience with TypeScript and the Angular framework ( ~10–15% of development)
- Database & performance
- Solid experience with databases and SQL
- Ability to query, performance tune, and understand data models (database work is ~5% but requires depth)
- Note: PostgreSQL is mentioned in the description; the role also references Oracle-style experience for database impacts/performance considerations
- Testing (testing-heavy environment)
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Strong working knowledge of TDD, BDD, ATDD, and test concepts/end-to-end testing
- Ability to explain the full suite of testing end-to-end and willingness to participate directly in testing
- Cloud & infrastructure (strong full-stack platform exposure)
- Experience with AWS services ( Azure acceptable; AWS strongly preferred)
- CI/CD experience and ability to build and maintain pipelines (Jenkins referenced)
- Source control & collaboration (e.g., GitHub preferred; pull requests expected)
- Container / event-driven ecosystem (requested—candidates may still be considered if not all are present)
- Kubernetes, Kafka clusters, EKS, Docker
- Additional engineering strengths
- Experience establishing technical architectures and best practices
- Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams
- Strong object-oriented design capabilities (e.g., object modeling and sequence diagrams)
- Proficiency with technical documentation and task tracking ( Jira)
- Ability to partner with business and systems stakeholders to craft effective technical requirements and solutions
- Microsoft and broader ecosystem exposure
- GitHub experience (not required, but the team is increasingly using it— ~18 months of experience is ideal)
- Strong component and dashboard experience within Angular applications
- Advanced degree preferred (Computer Science)
- Senior-level expectation: 10+ years hands-on full stack development, with middle-tier heavy focus (Java/Spring/REST and performance-minded engineering)
