What You’ll Do:
- Develop and optimize REST APIs primarily using Java 17 and Spring Boot, supporting seamless interactions across diverse databases.
- Lead data migration initiatives, ensuring high performance and efficiency by tuning queries, creating views, and developing stored procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs.
- Implement performance tuning strategies for large, data-heavy projects to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
- Support database integration activities, including query optimization, view creation, and stored procedure development.
- (Nice to Have) Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and application security enhancements.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java EE (Java 17 preferred) and Spring Boot in backend development.
- Proven expertise in building REST APIs, with a focus on data-heavy and performance-sensitive environments.
- Strong experience in database management using SQL or Oracle, including query tuning, stored procedures, and view creation.
- Practical experience with performance tuning for large datasets and understanding of database architectures.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub, and development workflows with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of data migration projects, debugging, and improving database efficiency.
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Front-end familiarity with Angular and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Scripting skills in Python.
- Security integration expertise, especially OAuth and LDAP.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and application deployment in cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on data migration, performance tuning, or data engineering projects.
- Ability to contribute to setting up, maintaining, and supporting new applications.
- Willingness to engage in collaborative team initiatives and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Ideally, experience working in diverse team environments, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
