The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting or financial analysis, be comfortable working with large data sets, and have the ability to communicate financial information clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close activities.
- Prepare accruals, reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reports, and ad hoc analyses.
- Gather, validate, analyze, and maintain financial and operational data.
- Assist with annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning.
- Support demand planning and resource planning financial analysis.
- Track capital projects, construction work in progress (CWIP), project placements in service, capitalization activities, and asset retirements.
- Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and contractor financial reporting.
- Maintain financial records and documentation for audits and SOX controls.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and explain financial results.
- Develop insights and recommendations based on financial and operational data.
- Prepare dashboards, executive reports, and other financial materials for leadership.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with large data sets and performing quantitative analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Understanding of accounting principles, capitalization, depreciation, and asset management.
- Experience supporting technology projects, applications, or technology operations.
- Experience with financial, reporting, portfolio management, or asset management tools.
- Exposure to CapEx, OpEx, CWIP, invoicing, contractor financials, or technology portfolio management.
