IT Field Services Specialist
Location: Addison, TX (Up to 50% regional travel)
Contract-to-Hire | Initial Term: 6 Months

 
Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and network hardware.
  • Provide remote and onsite service for unified communication platforms and telephony systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment including scanners, VoIP endpoints, and ancillary devices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify and resolve connectivity or performance issues, particularly related to voice systems.
  • Participate in deployment projects involving IT hardware and low-voltage networking.
  • Set up and configure networking devices in line with project-specific technical requirements.
  • Execute physical installation and testing of networking gear in enterprise environments.
  • Perform site assessments and contribute to planning, documentation, and post-installation support.
  • Offer Tier 1/2-level support for voice and video systems; familiarity with solutions like Nextiva is a plus.
  • Ensure high levels of service by validating quality and function before completing onsite work.
  • Troubleshoot systems locally or remotely to support resolution of escalated tickets.
  • Act as a liaison across teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
 
Requirements:
  • Solid grounding in enterprise networking concepts and hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless APs, and firewalls (Fortinet FortiGate highly desirable).
  • Familiar with core network services (DNS, DHCP), VLAN configuration, and routing fundamentals.
  • Able to work across traditional and wireless networking environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft AD and Group Policy management for small-to-mid-sized deployments.
  • Understanding of remote access solutions including VPN and IPsec configurations.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities with both hardware and software systems.
  • Proven experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic field setting.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% to support onsite implementations and field escalations.

Estimated Min Rate: $45.00
Estimated Max Rate: $50.00
