Pay rate: $40-50/hr - Depending on Education and Experience
Summary:
We are looking for 2 epidemiologists to support our client that is a global leader in pharmaceuticals, on their Epidemiology and Real Worls Evidence Team. You will provide support across the team and work with the lead epidemiologist to support studies and regulatory document literature review with some project management. The studies will focus on HIV. If you have sound Epi- and public health methodology experience and can analyze and understand publications, while being able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities with excellent communication skills, this is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Work with members of Epidemiology & RWE team to develop non-interventional study protocols and conduct research studies on disease burden and drug effectiveness/safety.
- Proactively manage project level aspects of RWE studies, including timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure potential projects risks are escalated to the relevant Epi & RWE team members.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on topics related to the research portfolio.
- Collaborate with analysts and statisticians to conduct analyses of in-house data sources.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of study publications.
- Communicate projects results to internal and external stakeholders and convey complex data in tangible terms for different audiences.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners and execute day-to-day project tasks, manage risks, track progress, manage timelines and deliverables and raise issues to ensure timely, compliant delivery.
Skills or Requirements:
- Masters level degree in epidemiology or related field of study with at least at least 3 years of relevant experience in a research organization, academic center, or pharmaceutical industry; preferably in pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology, or related area
- Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross-functional collaborative environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and flexibility in taking on and performing assignments as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or DrPH in Epidemiology
- Knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and FDA regulations regarding drug development phases, clinical research, and data management methods
- Knowledge and experience working in infectious disease area, HIV treatment and prevention
