Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Piping Engineering Department Manager to lead our growing team and drive engineering excellence across EPC projects in the energy and industrial sectors.
This high-impact leadership role offers the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor top talent, and ensure technical quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage departmental resources across all project phases, including manpower planning, tools, deliverables, and estimates.
- Ensure all work meets company, client, and national engineering standards.
- Optimize personnel utilization through strategic planning and staffing.
- Oversee talent development, training, supervision, performance evaluations, and salary administration.
- Support project execution through proposal development, design and specification reviews, and deliverable oversight.
- Maintain accountability for discipline-specific cost and schedule performance on assigned projects.
- Demonstrated success in project execution and adherence to project procedures.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork to gather site-specific data.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in developing design bases for capital cost estimates, scheduling, cost control, and team leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in the EPC industry.
- Background in operating companies within the chemical, petrochemical, fiber, industrial, renewables, nuclear, or fossil sectors is highly desirable.
- 3–5+ years of experience with 3D modeling tools; familiarity with Autodesk Plant 3D and laser scanning is a plus.
- Experience with pipe stress analysis using Caesar II is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
Estimated Max Rate: $204000.00
