Yoh Services is seeking an Engineering Technician for a long term contract role, who can capture redlines and profide quick packet turnarounds.  
This job is in Austin, Texas. 

Job Title: Engineering Technician (Intermediate Level)
Location: 78744, onsite in Autin Texas
$23 per hour - W2 Only role contract role through Yoh Services benefits are offered

Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Must have a valid drivers license
National Background check

Job Summary  - Capture Redlines and provide quick turnaround of packets.
At an intermediate level, the Engineering Technician supports operational analyses and technical projects aligned with enterprise, divisional, and departmental strategies. This role contributes to the effective use of personnel, equipment, and materials, and performs cost analyses to support efficient operations. The technician applies discipline-specific knowledge while continuing to build advanced technical skills, receiving moderate guidance from supervisors and experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical insights and recommendations to support the development and enhancement of engineering programs and initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies and business case analyses for multiple engineering projects.
• Assist in research and development of cost-benefit analyses for maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement options for assets aligned with strategic plans.
• Support the definition of project scope, recommend technical approaches, and assist in execution of strategic engineering projects.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, reliability, schedule, and cost expectations.
• Develop and present data-driven technical insights to management and executive audiences.
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals, objectives, and procedures aligned with departmental strategy.
• Apply creative problem-solving to technical and strategic challenges.
• Track and report progress toward established engineering goals and milestones.
• Maintain accurate records for budgets, technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing across departments.
• Develop and lead focused technical training sessions to support organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in engineering support, technical analysis, or related roles.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GIS, Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical team environment.
