Engineering Test Technician
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Contract Duration: 16 months
- Company: Leading supplier of ion implantation equipment for semiconductor chip fabrication
- Rates between $21 to $26 per hour depending on experience
- additional differentials:
2nd shift 10 percent differential
3rd shift 13 percent differential
Guaranteed Overtime
Open to working weekend hours
- Requirements
- Education:
Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, electrical, automotive, robotics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in complex electro-mechanical technical functions
- Skills:
- Testing and troubleshooting systems at the component level in electrical and mechanical systems
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum process testing
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and written/verbal descriptions
- NPI installations and field upgrade experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skill
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced Engineering & R&D environment.
- Flexible to work different shifts if needed
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, Team Player
- Ability to Accept and Learn from criticism
Responsibilities
- Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions such as:
- Design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems
- Experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures
- Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems
- Perform new system and NPI installations and field upgrades
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting
- Compile logbooks and test procedures documentation
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms
- Stay informed of changes in manufacturing and/or engineering processes and assist in problem correction
