Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to support electronic assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at our Durham, North Carolina location. This is a fully approved 12?month contract with strong potential for extension based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electronic components and systems, the ability to follow schematics and work instructions, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components, subassemblies, and systems
- Perform functional testing and basic diagnostics using standard test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
- Interpret schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Document test results, repairs, and deviations in accordance with established procedures
- Identify and report product or process issues to engineering or supervisory staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts and production schedules as required
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Electronics Technician or similar technical role
- Working knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and assemblies
- Ability to troubleshoot at the component or board level
- Proficiency using standard electronic test and measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications (not necessary):
- Technical certification, Associate’s degree, or military electronics training
- Experience working in manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with quality systems, documentation, or controlled processes
