Electromechanical Technician

Electromechanical Technician In this role, you will:

• Work as a R&D Technician building self-driving technology – this Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly, PCBA solder/rework, and harness build/assembly
  
  
• Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices
  
  
• Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams
  
  
• Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines
  
  
• Work with limited oversight
  
  
• Seek continuing education and development opportunities
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, or prototyping spaces
  
  
• Must possess excellent communication skills
  
  
• Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies
  
  
• Strong mechanical skills, ability to read schematics and layouts, and assemble mechanical systems
  
  
• Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems
  
  
• Proficiency with Windows, Mac, or Linux
  
  
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
  
  
• A can-do customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment
  
  
• Operate in a high paced R&D, Rapid Prototyping environment
  
  
• Contribute to the overall team's success providing support in other areas of the R&D shops, i.e. electrical, fabrication, manufacturing, etc.
  
  
• Maintain and repair equipment as necessary, implement upgrades
  
  
• Familiar with CAD software, SolidWorks and/or Catia preferred
  
  
• Able to read and comprehend engineered drawings
  
  
• Design parts/fixtures to aid in fabrication
  
  
• Document fixtures, designs, processes created in the machine shop to archive for later use
  
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Certification and training in GD&T
  
  
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools
  
  
• Experience with Instrumentation (i.e. thermal test set ups, fluid dynamics, air pressure, load cells, etc.)
  
  

Estimated Min Rate: $48.00
Estimated Max Rate: $60.00
