Overview:
As an Electrical Design Engineer - Power, you will be at the forefront of developing electrical power conversion products that power critical aircraft systems and cabin applications. From concept through certification, you will be instrumental in designing, testing, and optimizing solutions ranging from 10W to 600W+. Your expertise will directly impact our reputation as a leader in avionics and aircraft power solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in power conversion product design.
- Proficiency in DC-to-AC, DC-to-DC, AC-to-DC, and AC-AC converters.
- Strong design background in analog circuits and switch-mode power electronics.
- Experience with magnetics, including power transformers and filters.
- Familiarity with digital high-speed data buses, microcontrollers, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to design circuits, develop code, and troubleshoot hardware in test environments.
- Proficiency with schematic capture tools such as PADS, PCB layout, and simulation software like PSpice or LTSpice.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience designing to aerospace environmental standards (RTCA DO-160 or similar).
- Knowledge of DFM & DFT principles.
- Skills in graphics, LCD design, and visual interface integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (CE, EE, or CSE).
- 5-10 years of relevant digital and power electronics experience.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and lab environments.
- Willingness to research new technologies and incorporate them into designs.
- Ability to build and troubleshoot hardware, including soldering and test equipment operation.
- Occasional collaboration with aerospace and military standards.
