Data Engineer
6 month contract/contract to hire  (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)
Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated  Data Engineer II/III  to join our growing Data & Analytics team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions using  PythonSQL, and  Azure Data Factory.
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using  Azure Data Factory  and  Python.
  • Write efficient and optimized  SQL  queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency in the Azure cloud environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of data engineering solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers (for level III) and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years  of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in  Python  for data processing and automation.
  • Advanced knowledge of  SQL  and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with  Azure Data Factory, including pipeline orchestration and data flow development.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as  Azure Data LakeAzure SynapseAzure Functions, and  Key Vault.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Estimated Min Rate: $50.00
Estimated Max Rate: $65.00
