Our client is seeking a Data Engineer – Clinical Analytics to join their dynamic team for a direct hire position in Los Colinas. This role is crucial in supporting advanced data analytics initiatives, ensuring seamless data movement and orchestration across on-premises and cloud environments.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust data pipelines, improving data quality, and enabling predictive and prescriptive modeling for high-impact healthcare analytics. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with business intelligence, data science, and application teams to optimize data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze, develop, and maintain various data sources to support business objectives.
  • Design and build scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation.
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition and collaborate with application owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to document domain knowledge.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data to enable advanced analytics, including machine learning and AI models.
  • Leverage data serialization techniques to support multiple reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Partner with BI developers, data scientists, reporting analysts, and SMEs to translate business goals into technical solutions.
  • Ensure integration and user acceptance testing within enterprise project life cycles.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation following enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes, increase efficiency, and enhance system performance.
What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development, data pipelines, or model-centric pipelines.
  • Qualifed candidates must not NOW or in the FUTURE require sponsosrhip as our client doesn't sponosor for this position.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
    • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.
    • Proficiency in NoSQL databases, Python, Docker, Git, and Visual Studio.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure services, including Azure ML, Data Factory, Databricks, Data Flow, and Azure Functions (preferred).
    • Experience working with Data Lakes, Lake Houses, and ELT methodologies is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explore alternatives and propose effective solutions.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA, PHI).
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

Estimated Min Rate: $110000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $135000.00
