Cybersecurity Governance Lead | NYC | Full time | Benefits

Join a dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Governance Lead, where you'll drive risk assessments across cloud platforms, applications, data systems, and enterprise architecture. You'll help shape governance frameworks that enable secure adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML. This role blends technical expertise with strategic oversight, offering guidance on secure architecture and supporting initiatives that enhance the organization's security posture.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance
• Strong communication skills to influence technical and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, SOC 2, PCI-DSS
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud governance
• Hands-on knowledge of GRC platforms and risk reporting
• Understanding of secure architecture, threat modeling, and vulnerability management
• Exposure to AI/ML tools for automating governance processes
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC)

What You’ll Do:

• Lead risk assessments across IT, OT, cloud, and infrastructure
• Collaborate with architecture teams to embed governance early in design
• Provide risk-based guidance on vendors and tech initiatives
• Recommend controls for third-party/cloud solutions
• Develop governance policies for emerging tech, including AI/ML
• Support awareness programs and respond to audits
• Drive automation in governance workflows
• Track remediation efforts and report key metrics
