Not Remote – No Corp-to-Corp Recruiters
Must be on site 5 days a week
Contractor will be an employee of Yoh Services
One year contract role with possible extension
Location: Onsite – Columbus, OH (43215)
Travel: 10–15% (to job sites and other company offices; fleet vehicle provided)
Work Schedule: Eligible for 9/80 flexible schedule


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Columbus, OH, with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and proven experience managing complex utility projects across various disciplines and voltage levels.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall project execution from budget/schedule approval through completion.
• Manage 10–30 concurrent projects ranging from $100K to $10M in scope.
• Projects include substation, transmission line, and network infrastructure (34.5kV to 500kV).
• Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and cost forecasts in collaboration with project controls.
• Conduct construction bid events and evaluate contractors for selection.
• Coordinate environmental and permitting activities with internal teams.
• Oversee construction and testing resources to ensure successful execution.
• Provide regular updates to client project management leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (required and must be clearly listed on resume).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project management within transmission & distribution or related industries.
• Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (10–30 projects, $100K–$10M).
• Experience working on construction sites or managing programs in industries such as:
  • Aviation
  • Commercial
  • Energy
  • Government
  • Manufacturing
  • Oil & Gas
  • Process
  • Transmission & Distribution
  • Water

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with owners, contractors, engineers, and designers.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
