Connect Ambassador

The Connect Ambassador will support efforts to serve and educate customers at the Connect facility. This role includes greeting customers as the first point of contact, answering questions, and coordinating traffic flow to ensure customers can either self-serve or speak with a Connect Specialist. The Ambassador will gain exposure to the facility’s mission, goals, and daily operations by supporting the department, attending staff meetings, participating in programs and events, and collaborating with team members across departments.
The Ambassador will assist with event preparation and clean-up, and provide support to internal and external stakeholders during special events. This role offers the opportunity to gain knowledge of business practices and industry trends, develop teamwork and communication skills, and learn how to effectively engage with customers and community partners.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
(Average percentage of time spent annually)
1. Customer Engagement and Support – 65%
•            Greet customers and assess their needs (20%)
•            Answer basic questions effectively (20%)
•            Manage human traffic flow within the space (15%)
•            Assist customers with payments
•            Collaborate with the facility team on escalations and resolutions (15%)
•            Perform other duties as assigned to support customer service needs (15%)
2. Community Engagement Support – 35%
•            Assist with event preparation and tear-down for both internal and external stakeholders (20%)
•            Support the team during extended outage situations (10%)
•            Help develop workshops/seminars for community and customer groups (25%)
•            Assist with daily opening/closing of the facility, ensuring systems are shut down and the facility is secured (20%)
•            Gather data on the effectiveness of community events, including customer feedback and partnership growth (25%)
•            Provide customer education on energy efficiency products and services, and process enrollments when applicable

•            Strong communication and customer service skills
•            Self-starter with an outgoing and personable demeanor
•            Organized with attention to detail
•            Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
•            Demonstrates good judgment
•            Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•            Team-oriented with a professional demeanor
•            Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments, priorities, and work hours
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
•            Minimum: High school diploma
•            At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a face-to-face setting
•            Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•            Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite?????

Estimated Min Rate: $14.71
Estimated Max Rate: $21.00
