Summary:
As a Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our US Pest field technician pay plans. This is a critical, high-volume transactional role that ensures the timely and accurate payment of variable compensation (e.g., production incentives and commissions) and maintains the integrity of our compensation plans. You will leverage your expertise to process compensation requests, handle inquiries from employees and managers, and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and process high-volume transactional requests related to field technician pay plans, ensuring strict adherence to plan governance and company policy.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of compensation data and ensure accurate, timely payment calculations and adjustments for our field operations teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technician pay plan compensation-related inquiries, resolving issues, and providing clear, timely explanations to employees and managers.
- Assist with maintaining standard operating procedures, manager guides, and leverage other technologies (e.g., ZenDesk) to provide internal partners (i.e., HR Partners) and external clients (i.e. Leaders) with the necessary tools and resources to ensure adherence to plan documents and data integrity.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives, including the expansion of compensation tools (e.g., Workday Advance Compensation, Xactly, ZenDesk, etc.) to streamline tracking, reporting, and payment processes.
- Contribute to special projects as needed, such as system enhancements, annual compensation reviews, and other strategic initiatives.
Skills or Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field
- OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a transactional compensation, accounting, or customer service role with a deep focus on the administration and governance of programs.
- Proven track record of handling high-volume transactions impacting accounting, finance, or compensation payment processes, from data validation to final calculation and inquiry resolution.
- Demonstrated experience using an HRIS system (Workday) and ICM (Incentive Compensation Management) systems, such as Xactly or Callidus, preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data and identify trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills for data analysis and performing calculations.
