Overview
We are seeking an individual for the role of Manager, Clinical Supply Chain Operations. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable and compliant execution of clinical supply activities across programs while supporting a growing pipeline and patient needs.
This role will focus on overseeing end to end clinical supply execution activities across assigned protocols, ensuring timely delivery of materials to sites and patients. The position will partner closely with cross functional teams including Clinical Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and external vendors to support effective clinical trial execution.
This is a hybrid position based primarily in the Cambridge, MA area.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for end to end execution of clinical supply activities including IRT, packaging, labeling, distribution, inventory management, returns, destruction, and study closeout
• Ensure protocol milestones are met on time and in full including site readiness and on time material delivery
• Partner cross functionally with Clinical Operations, QA, Regulatory, and external partners to ensure efficient and compliant execution
• Manage and escalate day to day execution risks including delays, deviations, and supply disruptions with clear mitigation strategies
• Oversee temperature excursions and supply deviations ensuring appropriate documentation and resolution
• Ensure execution activities are compliant, well documented, and inspection ready
• Maintain visibility into inventory levels and supply availability across programs
• Contribute to continuous improvement of execution processes, tools, and operational workflows
• Train and mentor fellow trial leads
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, supply chain, or related field
• 4+ years of direct global Clinical Supply Chain experience
• Strong knowledge of clinical supply chain operations including packaging, labeling, inventory management, and global distribution
• Understanding of clinical trial operations and the drug development lifecycle
• Foundational knowledge of GMP, GxP, GCP, and global regulatory requirements
• Experience with IRT/IXRS systems, inventory management tools, Excel, Smartsheet, and ERP systems
• Experience with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Project management experience across multiple studies/programs
• Vendor, CMO, and CRO management experience
• Budget tracking, cost control, and financial oversight experience
• Strong problem solving and risk based decision making skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
• Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and organizational skills
