Position Summary:
A fast-growing biopharmaceutical company focused on advancing novel cancer therapies is seeking a  Regional Lead, Clinical Operations  to manage and drive clinical trial execution across early-stage oncology programs. This is a high-impact role that will support clinical development from study startup through closeout, with a focus on regional oversight and operational excellence.
As a Regional Lead, you will collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external partners (CROs, vendors, and investigative sites) to ensure trials are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with GCP and regulatory requirements. You will play a central role in operational strategy and planning while contributing to the growth and innovation of the clinical development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operational execution of clinical trials in your assigned region, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and within-budget performance.
  • Support the Study Execution Team (SET) and contribute to planning and decision-making throughout the trial lifecycle.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop RFPs, conduct CRO/vendor selection, and participate in bid defense meetings.
  • Manage CROs and other vendors to ensure milestones and deliverables are met and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to and review critical study documents including protocols, ICFs, CRFs, monitoring plans, and study manuals.
  • Provide financial oversight by managing clinical trial budgets, tracking accruals, reviewing invoices, and ensuring appropriate contract documentation (e.g., work orders and change orders).
  • Participate in the implementation and oversight of key clinical systems (e.g., CTMS, TMF, EDC, IRT).
  • Conduct clinical data review and assist in the generation and resolution of queries.
  • Monitor site performance, recruitment, and monitoring outcomes in collaboration with CROs and vendors.
  • Ensure Trial Master File (TMF) compliance, conduct periodic quality reviews, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Act as a liaison with investigative sites and provide training to site staff and clinical partners on study protocol and conduct.
  • Proactively identify risks, provide mitigation strategies, and escalate operational challenges to leadership as needed.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental SOP development.
  • Participate in cross-functional collaborations with medical, regulatory, data management, pharmacology, and translational teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of clinical trial management experience, with a strong preference for oncology and early-phase development.
  • Deep knowledge of FDA, ICH, and GCP guidelines
  • Proven ability to manage complex vendor relationships and clinical budgets.
  • Familiarity with precision medicine trials and biomarker-driven studies is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly collaborative mindset, proactive problem-solving abilities, and process-oriented thinking.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
 

Estimated Min Rate: $65.00
Estimated Max Rate: $85.00
