Clinical Data Manager – IVD (Remote-prefer CT/EST)
This is a remote, 6 month contract to hire position with a strong preference for candidates based in the Central or Eastern time zones.
A fast-growing diagnostics organization is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to support clinical trials for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD). This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compliant clinical data and will take a lead role in database design, data validation, and preparation for regulatory submissions. Experience with Veeva Vault CDMS is strongly preferred.
The Clinical Data Manager will develop data management plans, oversee eCRF design and database setup, and manage ongoing database maintenance. This position will coordinate data entry, cleaning, and validation activities; perform quality checks; resolve discrepancies; and ensure data is audit-ready throughout the study. The role will also generate data listings and reports, support interim and final database locks, and prepare datasets for statistical analysis.
This individual will collaborate regularly with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, and external vendors, serving as the main point of contact for data management activities. The role will also train site staff on data management procedures and system use, particularly within Veeva Vault CDMS, and provide ongoing support for data-related issues.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field (advanced degree preferred) and 3–5+ years of clinical data management experience, ideally within IVD or medical device studies. Experience working within a CRO environment is beneficial. Strong knowledge of clinical data systems, IVD regulatory requirements, and familiarity with SAS or SQL is a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
This is a remote, temp-hire position with a strong preference for candidates based in the Central or Eastern time zones.
Estimated Min Rate: $50.00
Estimated Max Rate: $55.00
