2nd Shift :
2pm to 10:30pm Monday to Friday
3rd Shift:
10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Monday–Friday) 2pm to 10:30pm
Schedule:
8-hour shifts, 5 days per week; overtime anticipated
Training Requirement:
Able to work 1st shift 6am - 2:30 pm or 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) for 1–2 weeks during training
Pay Rate:
2nd Shift $23.10/Hr. 3rd Shift: $24.15/Hr. (1st Shift $21.00/Hr.)
Position Summary:
Responsible for operating equipment used in the filling and plating of Prepared Culture Media plates, bottles, and tubes in a cGMP-compliant environment. This role includes setup, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of production equipment. The Operator will also complete production batches and documentation, and support tasks such as area cleaning, material movement, and quality inspections.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set-up, and operate high-speed filling and packaging equipment using HMI/SCADA interfaces.
- Manufacture in a cleanroom environment.
- Prepare equipment to meet batch timelines.
- Perform equipment calibrations and verifications.
- Follow Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.
- Conduct cleaning and sanitization of equipment.
- Batch documentation in compliance with GDPS
- Perform in-process and AQL inspections.
- Assist in reviewing and revising Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure safety and quality
- Adhere to OSHA and site safety policies.
- Use appropriate PPE for routine and non-routine tasks
- Report safety hazards and participate in required safety training.
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a regulated production or operations environment
- Experience with high-speed, automated production equipment preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations (e.g., LOTO, electrical safety) preferred
- Knowledge of FDA or GMP regulations a plus
- Ability to learn and demonstrate competency on new equipment within 90 days
- Ability to climb stairs and operate pallet jacks
- Exposed to chemicals, antibiotics, and strong odors
- Wear required PPE (e.g., hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, etc.)
- No makeup & jewelry allowed in manufacturing areas
- Willingness to cross-train & support production areas
- Availability for overtime as needed
