Certified Public Accountant Director (Director of Accounting)
This is a FTE/Permanent Direct Hire Position that is five (5) days onsite weekly
Colleyville Texas/Grapevine/Southlake

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED
CPA - Certified Public Accountant
TPA (Third Party Administrator) experience in any industry
Supervisory Experience with direct reports

Summary: 
The Director of Accounting oversees the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures the integrity of financial statements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance while working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to align financial reporting with strategic goals. The role focuses on accounting operations, financial accuracy, and regulatory adherence while evaluating continuous improvement opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Maintains the Company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on transactions and assets. Ensures the accounting procedures are adhered to and based on corporate policies compliant with GAAP & tax laws.
•    Leads and manages all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
•    Develops and enforces internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
•    Performs technical accounting research as needed to ensure proper treatment of a new or proposed transaction and documents position and justification of treatment.
Third Party Administration (TPA)
•    Oversee financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
•    Directs the preparation of all financial reports and ensures delivery is completed accurately and timely and provide variance analysis when necessary.
•    Ensures annual audits and regulatory filings are completed timely, on budget, and with clean opinions.
•    Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Dept. and recommends training requirements; has duty to keep staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs.
•    Monitors accounting procedures and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency.
•    Exhibit strong leadership aligned with company’s values and uphold the ethical standards of the accounting profession.


Qualifications:
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office
•    Master’s degree in Accounting, or related field preferred.
•    Five or more years of experience in senior accounting leadership roles.
•    Three or more years experience in accounting collaboration or for Third Party Administration (TPA).
•    QuickBooks experience preferred.
•    Deep expertise in GAAP, regulatory reporting, and financial compliance.
•    Strong leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams.

Estimated Min Rate: $115000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $170000.00
