Certified Medical Assistant needed for contract (30 hours per week) work opportunity with Yoh’s client located in the Wytheville, VA.

Hours:   Monday 6-2pm, Tuesday 10-6pm Wednesday 10-6pm, Thursday 8-2pm. Days and times can be flexible as long as the 30-hour work week is achieved; however, there may be times that they are required to alter days and hours for wellness events ect..
 
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Maintains inventory of appropriate supplies
  • Ensures safe and efficient patient flow
  • Lab draws (Phlebotomy)
  • Facilitates wellness events
  • Organizes practice environment to assure patient safety and quality outcomes
  • Administrative responsibilities
 
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
  • Certified Medical Assistant required successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA(NCCT), RCMAS(NCMA), or CCMA(NHA).
  • Medical Assistant Certification, exam within 3 months of hire.
  • Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA (American Medical Technologists) exam.
  • A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
  • Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
