About the Role
The CARE Team Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student well‑being on campus. This position works closely with the Dean of Students and the Campus Awareness Response & Education (CARE) Team to identify and assist students of concern. The Coordinator provides direct support, manages case documentation, coordinates referrals, and contributes to campus outreach initiatives.
Hours: 8:30-5 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one support to students, assess concerns, and develop individualized support plans.
- Respond to student crises and collaborate with the Threat Assessment Team as appropriate.
- Monitor and track student cases, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow‑up.
- Coordinate referrals to university resources and community agencies.
- Manage electronic case systems including Maxient, Run4Success (EAB), and Podio.
- Prepare reports, data summaries, and policy recommendations based on trends.
- Support campus outreach, training, and education efforts—including SOAR, Welcome Week, Rutgers Day, and other major events.
- Assist with marketing materials and general communication for the CARE Team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, public health, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in education or a related setting.
- Experience supporting crisis response within collaborative teams.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information for recommendations.
- Familiarity with student tracking systems and database management.
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a higher education setting.
