Semiconductor Materials Buyer
  Location: Austin, Texas
Duration: 18-month contract
Pay Rate:  30 to 34.20 per hour 
 

What You Need to Bring to the Table

• Knowledge and experience in procurement and supply chain disciplines.
• Builds understanding of company processes and customers.
• Solves straightforward problems using standard procedures. Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience: 1–2 years in a related field
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within established guidelines

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and terms with strategic suppliers.
• Quote and procure materials, components, and services.
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to recommend new suppliers.
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and manage purchase orders.
• Maintain inventory levels and execute MRP actions.
• Lead resolution of material-related accounting and receiving issues.
• Develop procurement process improvements and support ISO documentation.
• Review and act on ECOs globally.
• Minimize excess and zero demand inventory.
• Interpret part specifications and engineering drawings.
• Support high-complexity manufacturing scheduling.
• Monitor supplier responsiveness and inventory.
• Manage field support activities and retrofit project planning.
• Serve as logistics focal point and liaison to R&D and product support teams.
