Business Analyst- Benchling

Position Overview:  We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Benchling template design expertise to support our Vaccine R&D operations, combining technical knowledge with design skills to optimize scientific data management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Benchling Expertise and Template Management

• Lead requirements gathering and template creation in Benchling
• Design and contribute to templates and solutions as a key user
• Create mockups using design tools (PowerPoint, Figma, Canva) aligned with Benchling's functionalities

2. Requirements Gathering and Documentation

• Partner with subject matter experts to document business and technical requirements
• Produce professional work products including process flows, use cases, and specifications
• Document scientific workflows with detailed meeting minutes and process diagrams

3. Project Collaboration and Communication

• Work with business and technical teams on functional design concepts
• Ensure requirements clarity and accuracy across the project team
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and maintain strong communication channels

4. Testing and Quality Assurance

• Define acceptance test objectives and assist in system testing
• Evaluate change requests and conduct root cause analysis

5. Data Management and Key User Responsibilities

• Support legacy data migration to Benchling
• Serve as primary contact for Benchling-related queries
• Participate in Key Users community and data management team meetings

6. Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency with organizational tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint)
• Understanding of biological research lab processes
• Support Vaccine PO with platform optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive Benchling platform experience
• Strong background in biological research lab processes
• Proven expertise in requirements gathering and documentation
• Experience creating mockups and prototypes using design tools
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to new tools and techniques

Estimated Min Rate: $27.56
Estimated Max Rate: $39.37
