Location: King of Prussia, PA
Schedule: First Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed)
Work Environment: Fully Onsite
Job Functions
- Perform upstream manufacturing activities following SOPs, batch records, and cGMP guidelines.
- Complete production activities safely while maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation.
- Dispense raw materials and perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) procedures.
- Operate and monitor upstream manufacturing equipment.
- Support troubleshooting, process improvements, deviations, change controls, and SOP updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing goals.
- Perform additional manufacturing duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or another scientific or engineering discipline.
- No prior industry experience required.
- Previous cGMP or biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with upstream manufacturing processes, cell culture, or biologics manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with equipment such as bioreactors, Vi-CELL, NOVA analyzers, centrifuges, tubing welders, or PLC/DCS systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Fully onsite manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including successful completion of a PAPR medical clearance after hire.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and safely work around manufacturing equipment and hazardous materials.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on production needs.
