In this dynamic role, you will lead the design, development, and commissioning of advanced automation and control systems for diverse projects, ranging from small enhancements to large-scale EPC initiatives. Your expertise will help deliver cutting-edge solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and quality across multiple food and beverage facility locations.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, with EPC project and automation controls experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design standards (ANSI, IEEE)
- Proficiency with PLC and HMI programming, including Rockwell and Siemens platforms
- Experience with SCADA systems such as Factory Talk and Wonderware, and MES design is advantageous
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with GE, Modicon, Mitsubishi, Triconex PLC platforms
- Knowledge of safety and process control standards such as ISA/IEC 61511, ISA/IEC 61511, and UL508A
- Experience with machine safety risk assessments and SIF/SIS design compliance
- Skills with tools like SISTEMA, CCW, IAB, BatchSIM, and PlantSIM
- Understanding of PlantPAX, PackML, Ignition, Parsec TrakSYS, and related manufacturing systems
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field with 3+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant EPC and automation project experience
- Proven track record leading large, complex automation & controls designs in industrial settings
- Willingness to travel approximately 25-30% to project sites for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Ability to travel domestically to project sites
- Capability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
- Familiarity with safety standards and design practices such as NFPA, ISA, IEC, and ISO13849
