We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Associate Data Engineer to help elevate test data solutions and support modernization initiatives. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, leveraging your technical skills to improve data quality and reliability in a fast paced financial services setting.
In this role, you will develop and implement data transformation and masking processes, creating secure and efficient test data environments. Your work will directly impact the ability to deliver innovative solutions and maintain trusted data across systems.
Required Skills:
3 plus years of experience in software development with a focus on data engineering or analysis
Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with DB2, and experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle
Experience with Unix shell scripting such as bash or ksh and data orchestration tools like Control M
Hands on experience developing data pipelines, automation scripts, and reusable data transformation logic in Python
Knowledge of API development
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Understanding of data masking technologies such as Delphix, DATPROF, IRI FieldShield, IBM Infosphere, or Informatica
Experience working with complex data schemas and database design
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with DB2 systems and knowledge of native stored procedures
Exposure to data quality frameworks, automated testing, validation, and monitoring
Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as Cobol, CICS, and JCL
Experience with data management solutions in diverse RDBMS environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, advanced degrees are a plus
3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or related areas
Other Requirements:
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with periodic onsite presence
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
Estimated Min Rate: $38.50
Estimated Max Rate: $55.00
