Agile Coach - Scrum / Agile Trainer

Agile Coach (25% travel)
9+ month contract (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)
Plano, TX (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Agile Coach to guide teams, leaders, and the organization in adopting and scaling Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or LeSS, and have a proven ability to influence cultural change, drive Agile maturity, and enhance delivery outcomes across multiple teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach cross-functional teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders on Agile principles and best practices.
• Lead Agile transformation initiatives across departments or the enterprise.
• Facilitate Agile training, workshops, and coaching sessions at all organizational levels.
• Assess current Agile maturity and recommend roadmaps for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove impediments to Agile adoption.
• Support and guide the implementation of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Jira Align).
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and improvement.
• Act as a change agent by influencing organizational mindset, behavior, and structure.
• Provide metrics and reporting on Agile adoption progress and performance.

 
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years as an Agile Coach or senior Agile practitioner.
• Deep knowledge of multiple Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, XP).
• Experience coaching at the team, program, and enterprise levels.
• Exceptional facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.
• Background in software development or product management.
• Experience coaching in a regulated or large-scale enterprise environment.

 
Preferred Certifications

• Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
• ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• PMI-ACP or equivalent Agile certification
