- Opening #1: Full-time, Sunday-Thursday for approximately 3 months, then transitions to per-diem
- Opening #2: Two Fridays per month plus additional per diem coverage as needed (minimum commitment of 4 shifts/month)
This role is primarily focused on occupational health administration, compliance reporting, and case documentation, with limited direct patient care. The RN will support employee health services while managing OSHA records, workers' compensation documentation, health surveillance records, and corporate reporting requirements.
3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM (Sundays 9:00PM - 6:30AM)
* Flexibility for occasional earlier or later start/end times is required to support shift changes.
* Must be able to complete 5 days of daytime orientation prior to working independently on 3rd shift. Orientation is typically 6:00AM - 2:30PM, with EMR training from 7:00AM - 3:30PM.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Texas RN license
- 3+ years of nursing experience in Occupational Health, Employee Health, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Corrections, School Nursing, or similar settings
- Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills
- Self-motivated who can adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems and electronic documentation
- Professional, dependable, and customer-service focused
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assess, triage, treat, and educate employees with work-related or non-work-related health concerns
- Provide first aid and episodic treatment within established standing orders
- Manage OSHA records, workers' compensation documentation, and health surveillance reporting
- Perform occupational health screenings including drug testing, vision testing, pulmonary function testing, and biometric screenings
- Document care and case activity in Cority EMR
- Support employee wellness initiatives and programs
- Assist with minor procedures and respond to workplace medical emergencies as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Current Texas RN license
- Current CPR/BLS
- Must be computer savvy with experience using EMR systems (Cority experience strongly preferred)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of occupational health, injury prevention, workplace safety, and employee wellness principles
- Comfortable stepping into a busy environment, embracing change, and contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture
