2nd Shift Nurse, EMT, or Paramedic - Occupational Health

2nd Shift Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic  needed for a  long-term, full-time  contract  opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Channelview, TX. 
 

This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees. Will assist with work and non-work related illnesses and injuries plus case management tasks. Heavy on the desk work side but must also be comfortable responding to emergencies on the campus if needed.
--> Shifts: Monday - Friday from 5:00pm-2:00am but can be flexible if needed (ie 4:00pm to 1:00am or 6:00pm to 3:00am)


Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted RN, LVN, EMT, or Paramedic   license in state of Texas
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a medical professional
• Preferred experience in: Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, and/or Corrections type setting

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Provide wellness materials/information for employee health concerns and help with promoting the health and wellness program
• Administer first-aid
• Work on multiple projects/programs such as: medical surveillance, wellness event planning, reports, collecting data, etc.
• Provide medical testing such as: drug screens, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Vision exams
• Participate in the audiometry (hearing conservation) program
• Case management
• Charting/documentation of care using EMR system
• Assist First Responders in medical emergencies

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• BLS certified
• Excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressure while also working autonomously
• Confident with computer use (previous experience using EMR and Microsoft products like Teams, Word, and Outlook)
• Must have reliable transportation. If an employee is getting referred out, you will follow the employee to the outpatient clinic about 15 minutes from the workplace to assist with care plan.
