2nd Shift Manufacturing Technician

We have a contract opportunity for a 2ns Shift Manufacturing Tech in Lombard Illinois. This position is approved until the end of the year with a possibility of being hired directly by the customer. The customer is a world class manufacturer of Diagnostic Medical Devices.

Pay Rate:$23.10/Hr.

Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm  (Monday to Friday) – overtime needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot various production machines for filling and high-speed packaging of Prepared Culture Media using HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Manufacture within controlled cleanrooms.
• Perform equipment and component preparation tasks
• Perform necessary calibrations and verifications of filling and packaging equipment.
• Perform ancillary cleaning and sanitization activities of production equipment and areas.
• Ensure batch documentation in accordance with GMPs.
• Perform AQL inspections for batch quality requirements.
• Provide assistance with SOPs.
• Assist with manufacturing deviation analysis, CAPA actions, and related quality concerns
• Maintain work areas in a well-organized manner in accordance with 5S standards.
• Understand and follow aseptic practices to ensure safety and quality of the products.
• Comply with all OSHA and plant specific safety policies.
• Use PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) as required.
• Collect data, charts, KPI's and interpret to identify problems, and proceed with proper decision making.
• Assist with executing validation protocols.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in a regulated environment
• Operation of high speed, automated, production equipment.
• Knowledge of and experience in following OSHA regulations (LOTO, electrical safety. Knowledge of FDA and GMP, cGMP regulations within production environment
• Clean Room experience
• Demonstrate competency operating equipment in 90 days.

Additional Information:
1.   Ability to regularly climb stairs and operate motorized pallet jacks.
2.   May be exposed to and require the handling of chemicals, antibiotics and hazardous materials.
3.   May be exposed to strong odors
4.   PPE and cGMP which include hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, PAPR, face mask and lab coat.
5.   Make-up and jewelry are prohibited in some areas of Manufacturing.
6.   May be asked to cross train and support activities in production.

Estimated Min Rate: $23.10
Estimated Max Rate: $23.10
