Onsite Senior Mechanical Engineer

 Onsite Senior Mechanical Engineer needed for an 18-month contract to hire opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Rochester, New York.


Pay Rate:  $100- $120 per hour

What You Will Be Doing:

• Responsible for mechanical design/packaging electronics
• Required to meet with project stake holders on a regular basis to understand technical issues and develop solutions
• Independently, develops and implements concepts for range of significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions
• Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies, as appropriate
• Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems
• Specify or perform significantly complex engineering analysis
• Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products
• Generate product specifications
• Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests
• Specify and review engineering documentation and engineering processes
   

What You Need to Bring to the Table: 

• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and design
• Experienced in 3D CAD systems (NX or Solidworks) and Teamcenter is preferred
• Hands-on experience with mechanical development and design of high voltage products
• Experience in analysis, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and root-causing electro-mechanical systems

• Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related software
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Be a team player and have the ability and self-motivation to learn quickly and independently
• Demonstrate strong technical leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high quality products while adhering to strict deadlines
• Foster an environment that welcomes and encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents, and product opportunities
